Tibby Elementary School, Compton, CA
In the mid-seventies The California Arts Council created an endowment called Artists in Resident. From 1976 to 1978 I was among 12 visual artists in California to receive this endowment. I chose Tibby Elementary School in Compton to help the students create murals to change and uplift their campus, and connect their school curriculum to the experience of making art. |
