The Complete Aleph Series

May 9 – May 30, 2009

The Complete Aleph Series was inspired by the work of Cabalist Avraham Abulafia who lived in Spain in the 13th century; I translated his work from Hebrew to English. One of the works was published and a few others are awaiting publication.

Working for 25 years on the series, it was a pleasure to be able to produce this show at the prestigious and avant-garde Track 16 Gallery, Bergamot Station Art Center, Santa Monica, CA.

I displayed many sculptures, large paintings, art books, video, and a small installation of sand to commemorate the exhibition I had in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1992-93.

The media used in my work was varied from bronze work to acrylic work on canvas and paper, gold leaf, video and handmade books.
